Abstract

Aim The aim of the present study to evaluate the potential effect of Concentrated Growth Factor or Oracure on Healing of Induced Oral Ulcer in Albino Rats. Materials and Methods Thirty albino rats (weight 200-250gm) will be used in this study. Rats were divided into 3 groups (groupI, groupII & group III) GI (negative control), GII (Concentrated Growth Factor treated group) and GIII (Oracure gel treated group) then each group was divided into 2 subgroups according to the date of scarification at 4, 10 days. The rats were anesthesized then ulcers were induced through wide opening the mouth and exposing inner aspect of the cheek (buccal mucosa). The specimens will be collected at days (4,10) to be examined histological and statistical analysis. Results wound was closed completely but epithelium in group III appeared thicker than epithelium in group II at day 10 .On the other hand angiogenesis and mature collagen fiber of granulation tissue appeared in CGF group while in Oracure group granulation tissue was less matured and also less numbers of blood vessel was observed. Conclusion It was concluded that both drugs accelerate the healing of mucosa compared with control group but CGF was more effective than oracure in accelerating maturation of collagen fiber and induce effectively the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis).
